  Everybody I know insurance shops, asking their friends for who they deal with or posting something on Facebook like 'Who do you deal with for your insurance?' or 'I'm looking at switching. I can't stand (insert company here)! Any recommendations?' The key word here is 'deal'. Who do you 'deal' with? I feel like we're always asking who we put up with? The thinking is we're never going to like our insurance provider, so who's the least worst option? I sat down with Paul for about 30 minutes. I am not Scrooge McDuck or Donald Trump. I'm a nobody--nothing fancy. I rent an apartment and I'm making payments on a car. They're both worth insuring, but it's certainly not going to make anybody rich and it's not going to pay the guy's salary by keeping my policy. The thing is, I've been with his agency about a year now, and he has never made me feel this way. I've never had a phone call or an email gone unanswered by his office. I matter. And you know what? In five years or ten years or whenever, when I *do* have bigger and better things worth insuring, I'll give him my business because I'll remember how I was treated when I was a small fish in a big pond. Insurance isn't exciting. I get that. When I was first asked to spare a little time to talk about my policy I dreaded it because I had better things to do. I definitely got the sense though that Paul is passionate about what he does, which is not so much sell sell sell, but to help you understand and grasp what you're insuring and why. Insurance is still not exciting to me, but now if friends ask me who I 'deal' with for insurance I can answer that question with the sense that someone has my best interests in mind.
